As the name of one of the Four Gods from Chinese mythology, it’s certainly true that it could be a reference one of any number of characters. Given Lucky Star’s penchant for parodying recent series, however, along with the fact that Suzaku from Code Geass is one of the only Suzakus who’s a main character (and a bishonen to boot), and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to see it as a nod to CG.

It’s certainly much more fun to look at it that way, IMO.

I don’t think the name Suzaku was actually referencing Code Geass per se though. There have been millions of characters that had that name in alot of anime… Yu Yu Hakusho, Fushigi Yuuji, Beyblade, etc…

So unless there was a slip of Pizza Hut in there, I’m not going to consider that a Code Geass reference.

This show has become a lot better since they added the whole slew of side characters to it. Doujinshi-tan and the new OM NOM NOM fang-tan have awesomely funny skits, though Kagami still remains my favourite character of the show.

Which leaves me wondering, why did they wait all this time to bring them out. The show could have been win from episode one if they decided to start out with the current expanded cast.

So while the new characters have certainly improved my impression of Lucky Star, their absence from the majority of the series has left me with a mere fraction of what could have been.

Btw, your poll is impossible ;_; I can’t decide between DCII, Clannad, SnS2 and KnJ
