The main problem is that it just takes a long time, since you have to keep the mosquito trapped until they reach the bursting point. If they bit into a pretty small blood vessel, sometimes it can be a while.

Oh man! My brother keeps telling me this, but I’ve never seen it in action. Mosquitoes never bite me, so I never get the chance to try it out myself *sad*. I tried youtubing it (I think that’s a word), but all I could find was a Tobasco sauce commercial. I recently found out that only female mosquitoes bite… I guess this reconfirms that I’m not popular with the ladies *sad*!

I can imagine that if you have a keen enough interest, or brooding obsession as in Konata’s case, you could develop the sort of “skill” necessary to gauge this kind of thing.

Lmao, my brother used to do this when he bought yugioh cards. The heavier booster packs usually come with holographic cards, or they would be slightly fatter than the rest. He’d stay there for awhile though…
