And I agree with Owen S, read the Kojikan manga before judging it. It may look pure pedo bait on the outside but on the inside it’s pure pedo bait -AND- has a great story, pitiable characters and deals with some surprisingly mature issues.

Shana season II is high on my list of anticipated anime to watch for Fall. Minami and Bamboo girl are also something that interest me. Hopefully they will start off with great episodes so I can review them lol.

Read the manga before passing judgement on Kodomo no Jikan, or just skip it and watch the anime on strength of the name itself. The anime, for very obvious reasons (unless Japan’s broadcasters and censorship board goes through a liberal phase between now and the air date), can never be as explicit as the manga.

There’s the contextual (read: not gratuitous) full-frontal nudity, a guy getting a hard-on (whatever happened to nosebleeds? must be going out of style) and references to cunnilingus which ensure those scenes will never make it on air.

Although I could be wrong, but hey, you never know. There isn’t really much to convince with regards to the story because I’ve written all about it here so I’ll leave it to you to decide if it’s worth it. SaHa have been doing speedy, quality scanlations (albeit at the price of having all the chapters uploaded solely in RapidShare), so drop me a line if you can’t find copies of those for some reason. If you’re interested, that is.
