Oh god, you guys never fail to make me laugh. Epic Win truly.

Best 6min Food discussion: Well, I can't say I liked it, but the problem was the context of the discussion, not the act of discussion itself.

Can't deny your award for Best Clouds, but you're sorely leaving sola out as well. It should've deserved a runner-up award there.

Best Densuke... didn't have the chance to watch Dennou yet.

Pinkiest Supervisor was just LOL.

Best Long Jump While Holding A Microscope... I really gotta start watching Moyashimon once I get the free time.

Kirino as Best Genki Girl just truly fits I guess. Man she has so much weird expressions at times... added on with that fetish for perspiration....

Lucky Star as Best Slice of Life.... very much agreed.

@ Martin

Honestly, one of the most enjoyable, albeit distracting, elements of composing these lists was reminiscing about all the amazing moments of the past year.

That said, I'm definitely looking forward to more SZS next year. The cast is so replete with zaniness that it's almost overwhelming.

@ Calawain

Doh, too many Miyakos! Yeah, Hidamari's Miyako was epic, no doubt. At the same time, I don't think she was quite the usual "genki girl" stereotype. When I think of Miyako, I picture her sleeping outside with the cat on her stomach, or snuggled under the kotatsu.

If it's any consolation, she was definitely my favorite from Hidamari Sketch. :3

@ Martin

Glad we could remind you of the good times.

As for "one show swiping all the awards", this is like Whose Line Is It Anyway?, where the games are made up and the awards don't matter. ;)

Normally I'd complain about one particular show swiping so many of the awards but in this case I agree that Lucky Star thoroughly deserves it. It manages that tricky feat of being funny and true-to-life, and picks out those little details about the everyday that make normality what it is. The taste that you guys share in this genre leads me to agree with you an all of the above choices - I can only say that great minds think alike. In all seriousness though there have been some real slice of life/realistic fiction gems this year. Cheers for reminding me how great those times have been.
